Going solar is an important investment in your home. At SunSoCal, we believe the right solar system starts with understanding how your household actually uses electricity — not generic packages.

Pair Solar With Battery Storage
How solar works
Solar Energy Made Simple.
Solar Panels
Solar panels convert sunlight into direct-current electricity.
Inverter
An inverter converts electricity into a form your home can use.
Your Home
Your home can use electricity generated by the solar system.
Tesla Powerwall
A battery can store energy for use at another time.
Utility Grid
Your home remains connected to the utility grid unless specifically designed otherwise.
The interaction between solar production, battery storage, and utility electricity depends on the system configuration.
The right size matters
Don't Guess How Much Solar Your Home Needs.
One of the biggest mistakes homeowners can make is choosing a solar system without properly evaluating their electricity consumption.
A solar system that's too small may leave you purchasing more electricity than expected. A system that's unnecessarily large may add cost without delivering proportional benefits.
SunSoCal evaluates:
- Historical electricity consumption
- Utility rate structure
- Roof orientation
- Available roof space
- Shading
- Electric vehicle charging
- Swimming pools
- Air-conditioning usage
- Future electricity needs
- Battery storage preferences
Our goal is to help you explore a system that makes sense for your property.

Lease or purchase
Solar Options That Fit Your Financial Goals.
Option one
Solar Purchase
Own your solar system. Depending on available financing and eligibility, homeowners may be able to purchase a system with cash or through financing.
Potential considerations:
- Equipment ownership
- Long-term financial planning
- Upfront cost or loan payments
- Available warranties
- Maintenance responsibilities
- Applicable incentives, if any
Option two
Solar Lease
Explore solar through an eligible lease program. A lease generally allows a homeowner to use solar equipment owned by a third-party provider in exchange for scheduled payments. Some available programs may offer zero-escalator structures.
Fixed Solar Payments. No Scheduled Annual Lease Increase.
With a qualifying zero-escalator solar lease, the scheduled lease payment remains fixed throughout the agreed term, subject to the contract's conditions. Not all lease programs offer this structure — and a fixed lease payment does not mean your total utility-related expenses will remain fixed.
